NEET 2013 Syllabus
Filed under: NEET Exam;143 CommentsThe first nation-wide common entrance tests for MBBS courses will be held in 2013. Prepared by the National Council of Education, Research and Training (NCERT), the draft syllabus providing details of study materials in physics, chemistry and biology has been uploaded on MCI website. Though this core syllabus was declared for NEET 2012 but students can take this syllabus as reference until MCI announces new syllabus or confirms it as final syllabus for NEET 2013 for UG.

It is proposed by medical council of India (MCI) to conduct common entrance test for medical admission (NEET) from 2013 onwards.
This is causing lot of apprehensions among parents and students.
A common entrance test may be a good idea. But, different states have different state boards, matriculation system etc… and each have separate syllabus. Hence the students from different state boards and matriculation systems are exposed to lesser standard of education compared to those studied in ICSE and CBSE patterns. Hence a common medical entrance for state board students and CBSE students is not justified at present.
Before conducting a common test, the syllabus of plus-2 education has to be unified throughout India in a phased manner duly scrapping CBSE, State boards etc. Also, the teachers of state boards and other boards shall be given sufficient coaching and orientation training to take lessons as per new syllabus. This is a process to be completed over few years. Then only common entrance shall be considered.
When equal opportunity is given to all, then only common entrance can be justified.
It is highly injustice to test students of different state boards, matriculation CBSE, ICSE etc.. by a common test, as proposed by MCI.
This injustice is just a game with future of innocent students from state boards and matriculation systems!

Its not unfair, state governments are planning to change their syllabus. Soon all states in India will adopt CBSE syllabus.

the central govt has been planning to cionduct neet from 2011.they informed the state govt.but due to the negligence of state govt in changing the syllabus since that year .we have all this suffering

There are around 15,000 seats of mbbs for which 2 million students of India will appear for NEET. Seats increase as new colleges are founded.

We r nt aware of d syllabus….. Students studying in d academic year 2012-2013 have got just 10 months to go……… N still r nt aware of d syllabus…. Plz do make it quick …. Atleast give us d course n d date when d exam is to be taken…..??.. N plz do take this exam in regional language only…..

guys neet`s syllabus is setted there is no hope of any change in anything… bt still v r hoping dat govt. should not do this b4 the change in syllabus… pray 4 it guys.. nd best of luck to all of us… v r super kids… i think govt. is also thinking dat v r superkids…

whether the students of class+2 of session 2012-13 has to give neet or students of +2 of session 2013-14 has to give neet ?but mci has notified that neet will be held by session 2013-14

If at all neet is going to be held in 2013, then why is the medical council of india addressing the students that it will be held by 2013-2014. And since last one year why is the MCI unable to give the clear details about the neet schedules and syllabus? The students are in literal dilemma whether to prepare for the neet or for their respective state govt. exams and moreover students are leftover with only 10months for the preparation of either of the exams. It would be great if the MCI declares its decisions perfectly within a few days.

Sir,
It is highly partisan and dictatorial by the Central government to impose a national exam for UG in Medicine. Are we being governed by Dictators in the Central government.We do not have a common syllabus for plus two in our country, which the central government fails to recognize, but it recognizes the need for one exam. How stupid of the Education Department in the Central Government.
Why can’t the normal citizens of our country put some sense into the heads of that ministry.
The whole NEET exam should be postponed till all the states have a common syllabus.
I think the students will not get justice from this government unless they fight for it.
It is so sad that we have elected such a government who throws mud on our own heads.
